About The Event

Workshop by Artur Paulins and Martin Petrus (Wim Hof Method).

This is a free event to support Tony Riddle's barefoot run across the UK to raise awareness on sustainability.

After the workshop Tony will be available for Q&A.

An introduction to the techniques of Wim Hof Method including breathing, meditation and cold exposure and how to apply them in your everyday life.

PROGRAM:

16.00 - 17.00  Breathing exercises

You will learn how to:

- Optimise breathing mechanics and general breathing pattern

- Use breathing to achieve deep meditative states

- Practice meditation and breathing to improve focus

17.00 - 18.00 Ice bath

You will learn how to:

- Control stress response

- Use cold as ultimate mental training tool

- Use gradual cold exposure to increase cold tolerance

NECESSITIES

Sportswear (comfortable clothing, yoga clothing), swimwear, towel, slippers, blanket, warm clothing for after cold exposure, bottle of water.

PREPARATION

If you are new to cold exposure, in the days leading up to the workshop end your warm shower with 30-60 seconds of cold water only. Begin with your feet and then follow with your legs, your stomach, shoulders, neck and back. Focus on calming down your breath. Everyone can participate to their own ability and level of comfort. No pressure, just fun, new experiences and learning. If you have any health conditions or concerns please contact us beforehand and/or check with your doctor. The goal of the workshop is share these simple and effective health and performance improvement tools. 

FOOD

It is best to eat something light before the workshop.  Please feel free to bring your own pack lunch or snacks.
